  • Come Learn 1.0 – Our Come Learn 1.0 Pass is designed to be flexible and get players on the course.  This is not a program where players sign up for every Saturday for 5 Saturdays.  We encourage players to take 1 or 2 clinics every couple of weeks and practice what you learn in between with the rounds and buckets included in the pass. You pick the dates and locations that work best for you–some players may complete the program in a month, others may complete it over 5 months.
  • Come Learn 2.0 – Our come Learn 2.0 Pass is designed to build on the skills learned in Come Learn and Play 1.0. We will focus more on the “red zone”, shots within 100 yards of the green that will help you lower your score and perform better on the golf course. In a typical round, you may use your driver or woods only 14 times. The rest of your shots will be covered in this series – scoring shots.  You do not have to have completed Come Learn and Play 1.0, but it is highly recommended.

Get more information at www.cityofdenvergolf.com/golf-passes.

  • CGA Women’s Golf Clinic This is a single day event held at Overland in May that offers group instruction and covers all facets of the game—putting, chipping, driving and rules & etiquette. Find more information at www.coloradogolf.org.

HOME TOWN: Pittsburgh, PA

LOCATION: Kennedy Golf Course

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduated from CU, Boulder. Have been teaching golf lessons for 25 years.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY: The fundamentals of grip, stance and posture lay the foundation for everything in the swing.  I like to start by taking a good look at these things, espcially with less experienced golfers.  I look at the swing plane, clubface at impact and ball flight.  PUtting all this together gives us a starting point for developing a more consistent swing.

FAVORITE CLUB: The Driver.  Tee it high and let it fly! It is said the putter is the most important club in the bag but what good is the putter if you can’t get the ball into play?

FAVORITE GOLF PRO: Growing up in Pittsburgh, it’s Arnold Palmer.
