Denver Golf COVID-19 Update
Denver Golf has been working diligently to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and align the operations of the golf course with the recommendations of the public health orders that have been issued. We are dedicated to protecting the health and safety of both the public and our staff. In order to remain open, all customers must obey the following rules designed for everyone’s protection.

 
COVID Rules For Your Safety:
  • Keep a physical distancing of at least 6’ from everyone at all times.
  • Guests MUST wear a face cover in and around the clubhouse unless eating or drinking. This can be a home-made face cover.Here is a link to the CDC page on how to make a home-made face cover. www.cdc.gov.
  • Bring your own hand sanitizer and/or disinfectant wipes, face covering and any personal protective equipment you feel necessary
  • Guests must follow all physical distancing rules or they will be removed from the course without a refund. 
  • The doors to the clubhouse and bathrooms will be propped open when feasible.
Rentals:
  • We allow two riders per golf cart. Face coverings while riding in the golf cart are recommended. Take turns getting clubs out of bags to maintain physical distancing. We do not reserve golf carts and, due to extreme demand, we cannot guarantee a golf cart will be available for your tee time. 
  • Pull carts and rental clubs will be available on a first come first serve basis.
  • Golf carts, pull carts and rental clubs will be disinfected after each use.
Practice Facilities:
  • Driving ranges are open.  
  • Players can purchase range tokens in the pro shop or with a range card.  Range cards can be scanned in the pro shop if you prefer.
  • Range stations will be reserved for players with a tee time.  All other stations will be first come first serve.
  • The putting and chipping greens are open to everyone. There will be no holes or flags. 
  • The First Tee courses are open when not in use by the First Tee.  Adults must be accompanied by a child.
Reserving a tee time:
  • Tee times can be made over the phone by calling 720.865.4653, or online at www.CityOfDenverGolf.com  up to 14 days in advance for Loyalty Members, and 7 days in advance without a Loyalty Membership.  Visit www.cityofdenvergolf.com/loyalty_program/ for information or to purchase a Loyalty Membership.  At this time, Loyalty Memberships are not available in the pro shops.  
  • All reservations are made as riding. Reservations can be changed to walking at time of check-in.
  • Reservations of less than four may be paired with other golfers to fill out the foursome. If you are not comfortable having a group join you, we encourage you to book and show up with four players. 
Checking In:
  • Pro shops are open but we are still accepting payments over the phone.  We encourage you to utilize this method should you prefer it. If you want to hit range balls, let the staff member know and they will include them in your transaction.
  • If you intend to use the driving range to warm up, arrive no more than 40 minutes prior to your tee time. If you do not want to warm up on the range, arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to your tee time.
  • A limited number of people will be allowed in the pro shop at one time. This number will vary based on pro shop size.
  • Debit cards are only accepted if you call in your payment.
  • No cash payments will be accepted in the pro shops to limit touch points. 
  • We will now accept gift card, credit book, rain check and loyalty point payments in the pro shop, not over the phone. 
  • To speed up the check in process we encourage one person to pay for the entire reservation and have the other players use an electronic form of payment to settle-up later. 
  • Scorecards and pencils will be available, however, we encourage you to keep score on the Denver Golf app. The app is available to download at Android or Apple stores for free, or you can print the scorecard prior to arriving at the course by downloading at www.CityOfDenverGolf.com on the individual course pages.
On the course:
  • Check in with the starter. DO NOT head to the first tee until the starter has called your group.  
  • Leave flagsticks in the cup at all times. 
  • Holes are modified to allow the golf ball to go in the hole but not to the bottom of the hole. Remove your golf ball carefully to avoid touching the flag stick. Do not remove the flag stick from the hole.
  • Scores may be posted using the USGA most likely score guidelines.
  • DO NOT touch anyone else’s golf equipment including bag, clubs, balls, tees, pull cart, etc.
  • Bunker rakes, ball washers, water coolers, sand bottles and towel buckets have been removed. 
  • Bring your own prefilled water bottles. There will be no coolers on the course.
  • Restrooms in the clubhouse and on the courses are open and will be disinfected regularly. 
  • To avoid anyone else having to touch your trash we encourage you to hold on to all trash especially food items until the end of your round. At the end of your round deposit your trash into the properly marked trash and recycle bins around the clubhouse.  
Food and Beverage Service:
  • Limited seating is available in the restaurant and on the patio. No groups over 8 people will be seated. 
  • Food is available for dine in or to go.  For to go orders, you can call ahead from the parking lot, or the 9th or 18th tee. 
  • Due to limited staffing, hours may vary. 
If you are not sick, symptom free and feel safe to golf, please come enjoy a round at one of the
Denver Golf Courses. The courses will only remain open if everyone obeys all the safety and physical distancing requirements. We are all in this together. Thank you in advance for respecting each other by adhering to all physical distancing protocols which enables us to remain open for you to enjoy.


Denver Golf is your neighborhood course. Together, we will get through this!

Carts

Two players will be able to ride a cart under the following safety precautions:
  • One person must be the designated driver, and that person must operate the cart for the entire round.
  • Do not linger in the cart longer than necessary. 
  • Masks are strongly encouraged to be worn while both players are sitting in the cart.
  • Maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet when accessing golf bags (take turns).
  • Practice good hand hygiene.  Wash hands frequently or use hand sanitizer.
  • Pull carts will be available for rent.
  • Golf carts and pull carts will be cleaned and disinfected after each use.
  • Due to extreme demand we cannot guarantee a golf cart will be available for your tee time. 

Driving ranges

  • Driving ranges are now open to everyone.
  • Players can purchase tokens in the pro shop or use their range card.
  • Tokens will be disinfected after each use.  Range cards require some touching of the range machine touch pad. If you are more comfortable, you may have your range card scanned in the pro shop.
  • There will still be reserved stations for those with a tee time to warm up.  All other stations will be first come first serve. 
  • Range baskets, golf balls, ball machine and pin pads will be sanitized frequently.
  • Guests must wear a face covering until they arrive at their assigned driving range bay.
  • Guests can not share equipment.
  • Once finished hitting range balls guest must put their face covering back on until they arrive at the first tee.

Food & Beverage

Restaurants are open!
  • Limited seating is available in the restaurant. No groups over 8 people will be seated.
  • Patios are open for service.
  • Food is available to go.  You can call ahead to place your order from the parking lot, or on the 9th or 18th tee.
  • Customers are REQUIRED to wear face coverings at all times in the restaurant unless they are eating or drinking
  • Please maintain the 6’ physical distancing inside the restaurant including distancing from other tables and in line for to go orders.
  • Beverage carts are running where available.
  • Due to limited staffing, hours may vary.

Golf Course

  • Each group will be called to the tee. To maintain physical distancing DO NOT head to the first tee until your group is called. 
  • Physical distancing of at least 6’ from everyone in your group and our staff MUST be adhered to at all times. 
  • Leave flagsticks in the cup at all times. 
  • Holes are modified to allow the golf ball to go in the hole but not to the bottom of the hole. Remove your golf ball carefully to avoid touching the flag stick. Do not remove the flag stick from the hole.
  • Scores may be posted using the USGA most likely score guidelines.
  • DO NOT touch anyone else’s golf equipment including bag, clubs, balls, tees, pull cart, etc.

  • Bring your own hand sanitizer and/or disinfectant wipes, mask and any personal protective equipment you feel necessary. 

Lessons

Lesson schedule and check-in:
  • Lessons consist of one participant and one instructor.
  • Students arrive no more than 15 minutes before lesson
  • Students call pro shop to pay over the phone prior to lesson
  • After paying students are assigned a driving range bay and informed how to proceed
  • Range balls will be placed at the driving range bay by the range attendent prior to student arriving
  • To provide proper spacing only every other driving range bay will be utilized
  • Clubhouse restrooms will be available before, during or after the lesson
  • No spectators are allowed
  • Student must have their own equipment
  • The instructor must stay at least six feet away from the student
  • The instructor and student must wear a face covering at all time
  • All other previously approved Covid Protocol will remain in place

Mini Golf

The mini golf courses at Aqua Golf are open!
  • The number of players will be limited to a maximum of 25 on each course at any one time. 
  • Reservations are recommended.  You can reserve a time by calling the pro shop at 720.865.0880 or online at www.cityofdenvergolf.com.
  • Putters and golf balls will be cleaned and disinfected after each use.
  • No cash payments accepted.
  • Credit card payments are accepted via phone or in person.
  • Gift card, credit book, rain check and loyalty points are accepted in the pro shop.

Pro Shop

  • We are still accepting payments over the phone and encourage you to utilize this method should you prefer it.
  • If you intend to use the driving range to warm up, arrive no more than 40 minutes prior to your tee time. If you do not want to warm up on the range, arrive no more than 15 minutes prior to your tee time.
  • Face coverings will be required at all times while in the pro shop and clubhouse.
  • Physical distancing of 6' will be required at all times.
  • A limited number of people will be allowed in the pro shop at one time.  This number will vary based on pro shop size.
  • Traffic flow controls will be in place with one entrance and one exit where available.
  • Plexiglass barriers have been installed as an extra layer of protection.
  • We will now accept gift cards, rain checks and credit book in the pro shop only, not over the phone.
  • No cash payments will be accepted in the pro shops to limit touch points.
  • Credit card payments are set up to be as touchless as possible. Debit cards will only be accepted if you call in your payment.
  • Rental clubs are available while supplies last and will be disinfected after each use.

Tournaments/League/Club policies

Formats
  • No shotgun starts allowed. 
  • All events will be consecutive tee time starts. 
Permits
  • All permits will include the green fee amount only without cart.
  • Players who want to ride can pay for their cart individually as they arrive for their tee time. 
    **Tournaments: When providing your list of players to the golf course 10 days prior with payment, you will need to include who is walking and who is riding.
     Carts

Warm Up
  • Players can arrive 45 minutes ahead of tee time to hit range balls (if available), and putt until their tee time is called.  If you are not warming up, arrive 15 minutes prior to your tee time and check in with starter before heading to the tee.
Sponsors
  • On course sponsors will not be allowed. (No booths or tables with sponsor representatives). 
  • Hole sponsor signs are allowed but must be delivered to the course 1 day prior to event allowing time for staff to put them out on the course.
Scoring
  • The course will not provide pencils or scorecards.  All scoring should be done virtually. Pre-print your scorecard or download our Denver Golf app at an Apple or Android store for virtual scorecards. Results should be computed off site.
  • Scores may be posted using the USGA most likely score guidelines, with the modified cups. .
Food & Beverage 
  • Limited seating is available in the restaurant.  No groups over 8 people will be seated. No congregating around other tables. 6’ physical distancing from other tables should be kept at all times.
  • All food and beverage must be purchased through the concessionaire.
  • Banquet style food will not be available.
  • Restaurant and beverage carts, where available, may have varied hours.
