DENVER GOLF NEWSLETTER l MAY

We are excited to be OPEN!
Denver Golf Courses reopened on April 22nd. Come out and enjoy a round!

All Denver Courses including Evergreen are reopened for play. Here are a few tips for what to expect when you book a round to play at a Denver Golf Course.

Making A Tee Time

Booking online at www.CityOfDenverGolf.com is the fastest way to make your reservation. The Denver Golf site will have the best green fee price. Third party sites will charge you extra booking fees. You can also book by calling the reservation center at 720.865.GOLF(4653). Select your course and press 9 to reserve your time.

Before you arrive

Make sure you bring your face covering, a prefilled water bottle, and sanitary wipes or hand sanitizer. Download our Denver Golf app at Apple or Android stores to keep score or print a paper scorecard at home.

Upon arrival
  • Arrive no more then 10-15 minutes before your tee time. Upon arrival, call the golf course pro shop and press #1 for tee time payments.
  • We require your credit card number to reserve your tee time, but we do not pre-charge, so you need to call when you arrive to pay for your tee time.
  • Carts are single rider only and there is limited availability. If you have booked with a cart, and one is not available, it will be removed from your fee at check-in.
  • Once you have paid, put on your face covering and you may practice up to 10 minutes before your tee time on the putting green.
  • The starter will call your group to the starting tee 5 minutes prior to your tee time.
  • If you need to, use the restroom or grab food to go, visit the clubhouse. Restaurants are OPEN.
  • Driving ranges, practice areas, and on-course bathrooms remain closed.
  • Face coverings are REQUIRED in and around the clubhouse.
On course
  • All ball washers, water buckets, water coolers and rakes are removed from the course.
  • Do not touch other players equipment.
  • Holes are modified to allow the golf ball to go in the hole but not to the bottom of the cup. Remove your golf ball carefully to avoid touching the flag stick. Do not remove the flagstick from the hole.
  • Call in your to go food and drink order before you get to the turn so it's ready to pick up and go.
  • Don't forget, your face covering is REQUIRED in and around the clubhouse.
After your round

If riding, empty your trash from the cart. Don't hang around. Return to your car and head home. Your cooperation is important to help our courses remain open. Please abide by the safety policies put in place to protect you and our empolyees. For a full list of Covid Safety policies and procedures, visit our Covid page at www.CityOfDenverGolf.com. Thanks for playing Denver Golf.

Staying Healthy Tips

Wash your hands often

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

Avoid close contact

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Stay home as much as possible
  • Put distance between yourself and other people.
    • Remember that some people without symptoms may be able to spread virus.
    • Keeping distance from others is especially important for people who are at higher risk of getting very sick.

Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others

  • You could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick.
  • Everyone should wear a cloth face cover when they have to go out in public, for example to the grocery store or to pick up other necessities.
    • Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.
  • The cloth face cover is meant to protect other people in case you are infected.
  • Do NOT use a facemask meant for a healthcare worker.
  • Continue to keep about 6 feet between yourself and others. The cloth face cover is not a substitute for social distancing.

Inside The Ropes at Denver Golf

Visit the Denver Golf YouTube Channel for some informative and entertaining videos.

Denver Golf has several "working dogs" on our courses to help keep the goose populations down.  Our working dogs are certified to haze Canadian Geese within the regulations of the State of Colorado's permissible time frames.  The dogs are required to go through review with the Director of Golf where the owner/employee demonstrates command and control of the dog.  Juno, at Wellshire, has decreased the goose population from grazing at the course so you get a golf course with fewer geese (and less poop).  We also have certified dogs at Kennedy and Evergreen.
